About us

Meet the Counselors

Dean and Rosie Anderson are both certified biblical counselors through Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and The Biblical Counseling Institute. They are also in the certification process with ACBC and IBCD. They are concluding their master’s degree in Biblical Counseling and Practical Theology at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Dean and Rosie are both passionate and committed to God, to Scripture, and to helping people through the various trials of life. Furthermore, they are devoted to assisting churches that care for their members through counseling partnerships and training. They rely on God's Word in every session to offer hope and comfort to those who are hurting.

Dean enjoys playing golf, fishing, experiencing new places and food. Rosie has a DDS degree, and her favorite hobbies are cooking and crafting. She is a bread-maker master. Apart from counseling, they love to hang out with family and friends and playing boardgames.

Statement of Faith

  • We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, authoritative, and sufficient Word of God.
  • We believe in one God, Creator of all things, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe that Jesus Christ is the incarnated Son of God, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. We believe that He lived a sinless life and died vicariously on the cross as a sacrifice for the sins of mankind. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into Heaven, where He is at the right hand of God, the Father, and from where He will return in power and glory.
  • We believe that the Holy Spirit is the agent of regeneration and renewal for those who put their faith in Jesus Christ. He comforts, guides, convicts, and enables believers to live in ways that honor Christ, leading them to a progressive sanctification through his indwelling presence, until their glorification.
  • We believe that a person becomes justified by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • We believe in the resurrection of both, the saved and the lost; they are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ and His church, and that we ought to manifest that unity wherever and whenever possible.

Anima Care and Hope Counseling Center has adopted the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 as its primary Statement of Faith. We also subscribe to the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy and both the Danvers and Nashville Statements on biblical manhood and womanhood.

Christ-Centered Counseling

  • Our purpose is to honor Christ the Son, and glorify God the Father, with complete dependance on the Holy Spirit reflecting on the proper application of Scripture (John 14:26; 1 Cor 10:31; Col 1:16-18).
  • Our counseling is grace-based and heart-oriented aiming at a personal transformation through Jesus’s teachings and experiences (Psa 34:18; Heb 4:12).

Gospel-Centered Counseling

  • Engaging people with the grace and truth that is consistent with the teachings of Jesus (Col 4:5-6).
  • Emphasizing the transformative power of Christ in people’s lives, through the Spirit (2 Cor 5:17).
  • Applying biblical truths to the everyday challenges and suffering of life (Jas 1:2-3).
  • Helping individuals see their story in light of God, leading to real lasting change, renewed perspectives of their lives, and growing closer to God (Isa 55:8-9; Phil 1:6).

  • Practicing the spiritual disciplines, including prayer, Bible study, and fellowship of believers (Acts 2:42; Phil 4:6)

Church-Centered Counseling

  • A commitment to counseling that is deeply integrated into the life of the local church, providing a supportive environment for those seeking help and connecting them meaningfully to the broader church community (Gal 6:1-2; Eph 4:15-16; Heb 10:24-25).
  • Counseling that includes oversight by God-ordained shepherds (1 Pet 5:1-2).
